Labor Day Art Show
Aug 29-Sept 1 | Glen Echo Park, Glen Echo, MD
Featuring more than 400 artists, this art show is one of the largest in the region. Mediums include fiber arts, jewelry, sculptures, photography, and furniture. FREE, RSVP preferred. Tiffany Williams, curator in the U.S. State Department’s Art in Embassies office, will serve as judge. Guests can also enjoy live bands on Sat. noon to 6.

Kentlands/Lakelands 5K
Aug 30 | Lakelands/Kentlands, Montgomery County, MD
The 5K Race and Fun Run is the Foundation’s largest fundraising event, drawing more than 1,400 participants. The race features a Merchant Expo, family activities, music, and more. Proceeds support local charities, MD Senior Olympics & GPARC. Efforts fund scholarships, healthcare, food assistance and community programs.

DC JazzFest
Aug 27-31 | The Wharf, Washington, DC
One of DC’s ultimate summer traditions brings national and local musicians to a range of venues all over the city, including The Wharf. Some concerts are free; most are ticketed. A lineup stacked with talent and free performances are just some of the many reasons why you should check out this year’s edition of DC JazzFest.

NSO Annual Labor Day Concert

Join us this year as Enrico Lopez-Yañez conducts the NSO and special guests at this family-friendly celebration—a Washington, D.C. tradition! This performance is free to attend, no tickets required. Seating is first-come, first served. Public security screening sites open at 3 p.m.
